Palapa time!

Volunteers set out last weekend to put up a new thatch of palm leaves.

Some wire, pliers, truck load of palm leaves and the palapa's ready to roll.

After a full day's work the new roof is up!

Totem carvings and more

Last weekend saw us cleaning up the canyon's surroundings and thinking up creative ideas on how to fix up one of the trucks that had been burned during the fire.

After a few hours brainstorming we thought we'd give it a fresh layer of paint and turn it into something original and rather unique. We added a totem pole/stump whose features Jack brought into better relief after a few hours of chiseling.

And voila! The finished product:

And when you come by, don't forget to sign your name and where you're from on the truck's hood!

Mud Baths Update

Work is progressing on our new mud baths. This week, Ernesto, his son Adan and a crew of helpers added a beautiful tiled area for getting in and out of the tubs, as well as benches for relaxing and socializing with your friends. This project has been a long-time dream of Ernesto, so it's great to see it finally achieved. We hope you will like the mud baths, too! Check out the picture below:

We also wanted to show you some pictures of the new Eco-Camping area. It's a beautiful, shady area under the palm trees where you can pitch your tent for just 15$ per night and have access to Eco-Camping tub, the public pool, a grill, as well as our new mud baths!

We're gearing up for a great Thanksgiving weekend. Make sure you book now to reserve your tub!

Mud Baths!

Our latest project has been excavating two mud baths under the palm trees. They're still in very primitive shape, but we've already tried them out... And they feel great! One's hot and the other's cold, even though they're right next to each other. Isn't Mother Nature awesome?
